Skeletal Muscle

On the histology slide of skeletal muscle in cross section (1), the most significant thing to notice are all the multiple peripheral nuclei.

On the histology slides of the of skeletal muscle in longitudinal section (2) (3), there are very visible cross striations. There is an alternating pattern of dark and light bands. There are also peripherally placed nuclei.
