Peripheral nerve - histology slide

This is a histology slide of a peripheral nerve. The slide shows irregular fascicles of a nerve. Each bundle is surrounded by a thin collagenous perineurium. The nerve consists of wavy fibers. The elongated nuclei are those of Schwann cells. Myelin does not stain with H&E. Both myelinated and nonmyelinated nerve fibers are present in the nerve.
