Duodenum, pig - histology slide

This is a histology slide of pig duodenum. Pig duodenum fixed with NBF, stained with Alcian blue at pH 2.5 and counterstained with Brazilliant. Mucus in Brunner's glands stains blue, but it is not possible with this slide alone to determine if that mucus is carboxylated or sulfonated. 40X magnification.
