Ovary - histology slide
This is a histology slide of the ovary. This low power view shows the single layer of surface germinal epithelium(1), several inactive oocytes in the stroma of the cortex, a small follicular cyst, and a portion of a corpus luteum with a
hemorrhagic center. The granulosa lutein cells have a foamy cytoplasm because of their lipid content.
